We were always keen to add the “final piece to our jigsaw” and complete our range of services in that we felt that we could provide superior domiciliary care to complement our existing work. However, to do this, we needed to work with a like-minded person, suitably qualified and experienced in Nursing care as well as a background in managerial and business. A tall order indeed. These attributes came to light when I was talking to a business contact called Carlos Pasay. Carlos told me about his education and experience in the world of Nursing. I couldn’t wait to get back to the office and call Tim to say “I had found our jigsaw piece”. Now we could complete our service. Carinyo Care was borne.

Tim Field
Compliance Director
About Tim
Adding to this career development, I was a Magistrate at Victoria Law Courts in Birmingham for 17 years and have been involved in charity work mainly in the health and welfare sector. I was an Alzheimer’s dementia champion and friend until recently having to step down as my partner and I moved from the West Midlands to the South Shropshire Hills on her retirement.
With this legacy behind me, I was inspired to enhance the services I offered to clients, their families and carers, thereby providing a much broader service outside of the financial services sector.
I provide independent practical guidance, advocacy and support to people in later life. I do this across the areas of health and welfare, hospital, social and community care, personal well-being, lifestyle planning and day to day management of affairs.
I encourage and help clients realise that it is possible to live a fulfilling life whilst maintaining independence, dignity, comfort and security. I devote all my energy, enthusiasm and lifetime experience to holistic planning and personal wellbeing matters. I work closely with families and their friends, healthcare professionals, carers, nominated attorneys, specialist later life lawyers and financial planners. I am dedicated to providing guidance and support to people through their retirement years, advancing frailty and ageing process, through to the end of their life.
Whilst developing this sole trader practice, I co-founded CAFEtalk with Philip Braunstein in 2017.
CAFEtalk provides a support and advocacy service and makes sure our clients receive all that they are due, in financial terms, from the State.
Through working closely with our clients, we identified some imperfections in the health and welfare sector. These included an acute shortage of superior quality care in the community both in domiciliary and residential settings. Both of us are passionate about the provision of quality social and community care and the importance of companionship. With neither of us being afraid of a challenge, the idea for Carinyo Care was conceived. Fortuitously, Philip mentioned our proposed project to a business contact called Carlos Pasay. It transpired that Carlos had been a qualified Nurse of considerable experience before pursuing a successful career in the business world. Carlos immediately saw the need and potential. He quickly became passionate and enthused by the aspiration shared with us.

About Philip
The foundation of my referrals, has in the main, been focused on a peer-group recommendation. This I believe is the true basis for identifying people who are at the top of their profession or trade. After all, if you needed heart surgery wouldn’t you want to go to the surgeon whom top surgeons go to if they required a procedure, in effect the Doctors’ Doctor.
For 20 of those years, I was engaged in financial services where I was a Partner in an Independent practice. I specialised in Long Term Care (LTC) fee planning. I became a director of IFACare, a not for profit organisation set up to teach other Independent Financial Advisers, as well as solicitors how “dovetail” LTC with Inheritance Tax Planning.
On the charity front I have been a director of a Manchester daycare centre for many years and currently serve on the investment committee.
Having retired from financial services I remained active in the care sector and together with my business partner Tim Field, whom I first became acquainted with at IFAcare, set up CAFEtalk some five years ago.
CAFEtalk provides a support and advocacy service and makes sure our clients receive all that they are due, in financial terms, from the State.
One area we did not deal in was Domiciliary Care, which is providing Carer/Nurses/Companions (CNC) to live with clients (patients) on a 24/7 basis. Historically we simply introduced our clients requiring this service to the appropriate agencies.
But no longer; Tim and & I together with Carlos set up Carinyo Care.

Jahin
Occupational Therapist
About Jahin
Throughout my academic career, I developed a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, mental health, and the social determinants of health, all of which are central to Occupational Therapy practice. I honed my clinical reasoning and communication skills through a diverse range of placements, including acute care, community rehabilitation, paediatrics, and mental health. These hands-on experiences allowed me to apply theory to practice, adapt interventions creatively, and advocate effectively for clients’ occupational needs.
I am trained in standardised assessments, goal-setting strategies, and both individual and group-based intervention planning. My strengths lie in my ability to build therapeutic rapport, work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, and approach challenges with both empathy and problem-solving precision.
I am excited to contribute to Carinyo Care’s mission by supporting clients in their rehabilitation journeys and promoting independence, dignity, and meaningful participation in everyday life as part of a compassionate and forward-thinking team.
